Designed by Hollywood make-up effects artist Will Huff, ALAN is a 1:1 human scale robot head and shoulders measuring 16 inches tall and provides 5 axes of motion. You assemble the parts, paint, and add your own third party hardware and software. The kit is designed to use off the shelf components like radio controlled servos and micro-controllers . The magnetic and modular components will allow for future upgrades, including changes in appearance such as gender, or new movements like forehead motion, without the expense in purchasing a new head.
